POSITION SUMMARY
The Painter III is a highly skilled industrial coatings technician capable of performing all blasting and painting operations independently and to certified quality standards. 聽This role requires expert-level knowledge of all coating systems used.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES聽
路Perform advanced surface preparation using grit-blasting equipment, ensuring proper profile and cleanliness standards are met.
- Apply a variety of industrial coatings, including Inorganic Zinc, Epoxies, and High-Temp coatings, following manufacturer data sheets and internal procedures.
- Mix coatings accurately, including selecting the correct thinners, determining proper mix ratios, and adjusting viscosity as needed.
- Operate and maintain spray equipment such as pressure pots, spray guns, and related tools with minimal guidance.
- Inspect surfaces and applied coatings for defects, thickness, and overall quality, making adjustments as needed.
- Expert understanding of industrial coating systems, including curing characteristics, environmental limitations and application techniques.
- All other duties assigned.

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)聽
- Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT)
- Must be able to wear respirator
- Ability to pass NACE Paint Test (or equivalent certification), demonstrating advanced coating application competency.
- Full proficiency with Inorganic Zinc, Epoxy, and High-Temperature coatings.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)聽
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 5 + years of industrial painting or blasting experience
