Earthwork Utility Heavy Equipment Operator | In this role you will…
Be responsible for operating company owned machinery in a safe and effective manner. Able to demonstrate safe operation of assigned equipment. Operator is expected to use his/her experience and judgement to make decisions considering safety and efficiency.

Ensure all safety requirements and codes are implemented and met by all team members
Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
Understand means and methods to safely perform assigned tasks
Understand and ensure safety of team members
Monitor and track field data as requested by superintendent
Maintain paperwork daily
Operate heavy equipment includes running, maneuvering, navigating, and driving
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life in accordance to company policies and procedures
Perform daily pre-inspections: identify problems or defects that need corrected, report problems or defects immediately
Heavy Equipment includes (but not limited too): Excavator, Dozer, Off Road Truck, Motor Grader, Backhoe, Skid Steer, Roller, Reclaimer, etc.

What we look for:

High School Diploma / GED
OSHA 10 or 30 (Preferred)
CPR / First Aid Training (Preferred)
Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details
Problem Solving
Understand earthwork / utility means and methods
Travel for periods of time, as projects require
Flexible to help where needed
