POSITION OVERVIEW: Desert Foothills is hiring a President. The President will play a critical role in the growth and success of our business by overseeing sales strategy, leading cross-functional teams, and serving as a champion of company culture. The President will be instrumental in shaping strategic direction, driving revenue performance, and ensuring operational excellence through a strong and unified leadership team.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales & Business Growth

  • Help lead and develop sales pipeline and backlog growth for design and install division
  • Lead the development and execution of sales and client acquisition strategies to grow the maintenance division.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, developers, and industry professionals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships to drive top-line growth.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to assess sales success and adjust strategies accordingly.

Leadership & Operations

  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to departmental directors, and key managers.
  • Facilitate alignment across maintenance and installation services to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Lead quarterly strategic planning and monthly executive team reviews.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability for designated departments.

Culture & Organizational Development

  • Act as the primary culture champion, modeling the company’s core values and reinforcing them across the organization.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives through transparent leadership and people-first policies.
  • Support talent development, leadership training, and succession planning.
  • Ensure consistent communication and alignment from executive team down through all levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience, preferably  within a boutique landscape firm.
  • Proven success leading and scaling a high-performing sales organization.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results while fostering a strong, collaborative company culture.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or related field (MBA a plus).
  • Experience managing cross-functional operations in a high-growth service business.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, landscape project workflows and business systems (e.g., Aspire) and financial reporting tools.
