Psycle On Wellness is seeking Licensed Behavioral Health Professionals to provide supportive counseling services to adolescents in a juvenile detention center setting.  Both full-time and part-time positions available. The ideal candidate must be a licensed behavioral health professional in Maryland with a commitment to trauma-informed, ethical, and high-quality care. Supervision is provided and teamwork is the norm! 

Key Responsibilities

Supportive Counseling

• Conduct individual counseling sessions weekly

• Conduct weekly psychoeducational groups  for youth

Assessment

• Perform suicide risk screenings 

• Complete psychosocial intake screenings, including the MAYSI-2, within 24 hours of admission

• Monitor youth experiencing suicidal ideation 

• Make recommendations upon admission 

• Follow up on prior victimization 

Administrative 

• Sign and maintain clinical documentation

• Complete  crisis debriefing

• Attend clinical staff meetings as scheduled
 

Education, Licensure & Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work

• Licensed in the state of Maryland in good standing (LCSW-C, LMSW, LGPC, or LCPC)

• Minimum of 2 years counseling experience

• Experience working with children and adolescents in an education or detention setting preferred

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based systems

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Willing to complete a federal and state background check

• Reliable transportation
