Position Summary
Reporting to the VP of Facilities, this position performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures for all the practice sites and the OHI fleet of vehicles including the Mobile Medical Units.Â
Responsibilities
- Regularly inspects building systems at all OHI sites including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and fire safety equipment for potential maintenance or repair. Performs routine maintenance tasks such as filter changes, lubrication, and cleaning.
- Regularly inspect all OHI building exteriors, grounds and equipment for repairs, hazards and/or safety concerns.
- Performs minor repairs at all OHI sites within their skillset including painting, drywall repair, basic electrical work, and minor plumbing repairs.
- Maintains an inventory of maintenance supplies and places orders for necessary parts and materials.
- Immediately responds to and addresses urgent maintenance issues such as water leaks, power outages and security concerns.
- Under the direction of the VP of Facilities coordinates with outside contractors for complex repairs requiring specialized skills or licensure.
- Operates hand and power tools safely using PPE as required (i.e., safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.)
- Regularly inspects all OHI vehicles for maintenance and safety concerns and reports same to management.
- Ensures that all OHI vehicles receive preventive maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, electrical system checks, and maintains accurate records of all vehicle service.
- Adheres to all safety regulations and procedures when working on OHI vehicles, including proper use of tools and PPE.Â
- Moves office furniture when requested at all sites.Â
- Hangs artwork, certifications as needed at all sites.Â
- Assists with relocation of files, boxes, etc. at all sites.Â
- Pick up and deliver necessary supplies as needed.Â
- Monitors, responds to and documents actions taken on maintenance tickets submitted in the Monday.com system.Â
- Responsible to help Security with snow removal at all sites.
- When needed, assists with housekeeping activities at all sites.Â
- Supports on-site and off-site operations by delivering and setting up tents, heaters, tables, chairs, crowd control equipment, etc. as required.
Education/Experience/Licensure
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.Â
- One to two years’ experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Clean Driver’s Record is required.
