Join Leavitt United Insurance Services and enjoy working with a team that helps protect what matters most. As a Risk & Claims Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Risk & Claims Department (RAC) by managing claim submissions, maintaining accurate records, and keeping operations running smoothly. You’ll be the organizational backbone of our team — ensuring that every claim is processed efficiently, every client feels supported, and every project stays on track.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll provide vital administrative and coordination support to the RAC team, helping us deliver top-tier service to clients and colleagues alike. Your day-to-day may include:

  • Claims Management: Enter new property and casualty claims into AMS 360, submit First Notice of Loss (FNOL) to carriers, and track claim progress from start to finish.

  • Client Communication: Send claim acknowledgements, share updates, and ensure clients are informed every step of the way.

  • Carrier Follow-Up: Work closely with carriers to obtain claim numbers, adjuster details, and ongoing status updates.

  • Team Support: Assist with scheduling on-site visits, coordinating stewardship reports, and maintaining RAC documentation.

  • Record Keeping: Keep client folders, calendars, and department systems organized and up to date.

  • Presentation & Reporting: Help prepare PowerPoint decks, moderate webinars, and support RAC reporting and newsletter efforts.

  • Special Projects: Support the RAC team with projects such as binder updates, claim reviews, and data gathering for pre-unit stat reviews.

  • And More: Take on other duties as assigned — every day brings something new to learn.

Occasional travel may be required.

What You’ll Bring

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of agency experience or similar administrative experience preferred.

  • Skills:

    • Strong communication skills — you’re comfortable interacting with clients, carriers, and teammates.

    • Detail-oriented and organized — you thrive on keeping systems and records in order.

    • Proficient with basic computer programs (Word, Excel, AMS 360 experience a plus).

    • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.

    • Able to perform basic math for rates, ratios, and percentages.

Licensing & Training

  • Licensing: Active CA Property/Casualty license required (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).

  • Continuing Education: Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth through industry training and CE requirements.

  • Valid Driver’s License: Must have an acceptable driving record.
