We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to manage and oversee the daily operations of an assigned shift within our M+H production zone. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring production activities align with the production plan, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment. 

Main Tasks

  • Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with all safety policies.
  • Ensure compliance with quality requirements and lead quality improvement initiatives to achieve zero defects both internally and externally.
  • Lead and initiate process improvement activities and improvement teams to ensure achievement of goals and objectives.
  • Develop employees toward the attainment of autonomous work teams.
  • Provide clear communication at all levels of the organization, from the operations workforce to senior management.
  • Assist in the development and execution of plant strategy.
  • Ensure the implementation of sustainable improvements.
  • Use data to analyze performance and develop and implement action plans to address issues.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams in support of continuous improvement activities.

Experience

Education and Experience:

  • HS Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business education preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in automotive manufacturing operations.
  • 3-5 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience with Visual Manufacturing, including KanBan, Takt Time, and Visual Work Instructions preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (Takt/One piece flow/Pull/5S).
  • Familiarity with TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manage formulas, spreadsheets, and use Microsoft Word.
  • Self-starter with a disciplined approach to work.
