Maurice Electric Supply, an affiliate of USESI, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Commodity Project Manager to join our team. This position will be located in our Landover, MD location.

 

Summary:
The Commodity Project Manager supports all Maurice Electric locations by managing commodity-related projects from booking through delivery to the customer. This role is responsible for overseeing commodity quotes and blanket agreements for products including, but not limited to, conduit, wire, and strut. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Sales and Purchasing to ensure accurate pricing, secure customer blanket agreements, and drive successful execution throughout the sales cycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage commodity quotes and pricing strategies for conduit, wire, strut, and other assigned product categories
  • Review and process project bookings, ensuring alignment with quoted terms and supplier commitments
  • Work closely with Purchasing to secure and manage customer blanket agreements
  • Monitor project timelines from booking through final delivery to the customer
  • Coordinate with Sales teams to ensure pricing accuracy, margin protection, and contract compliance
  • Track supplier commitments, lead times, and cost fluctuations for assigned commodities
  • Identify risk related to material availability or pricing changes and proactively communicate impacts
  • Maintain organized documentation of quotes, agreements, and project milestones
  • Provide reporting and visibility into commodity project performance as needed

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field strongly preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical distribution, project management, purchasing, or commodity management
  • Strong understanding of commodity products such as conduit, wire, and strut
  • Experience managing large customer projects or blanket agreements strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of project-based sales cycles within electrical distribution strongly preferred
  • Ability to interpret quotes, contracts, and blanket agreements
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset with focus on pricing strategy and margin protection
  • Effective cross-functional communication skills
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
