POSITION SUMMARY
Oversees the clerical accounting work involving the preparation, processing, classification, checking, reconciliation, and maintenance of financial documents for reporting accounts and accounting data in a general accounting system.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements are intended as an overview of key responsibilities of the work for this position and are not all inclusive:
- Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests. Demonstrates the Cedar Crossing culture in all interactions with guests and co-workers.
- Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.
- Ensures compliance with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations.
- Reviews all requests for disbursement for proper authenticity and documentation.
- Performs audits of invoices, purchase orders and receiving documentation.
- Assigns general ledger account numbers to invoices prior to payment.
- Makes journal entries of payables and assists in month-end general ledger closing.
- Prioritizes invoice payments.
- Approves payment of invoices.
- Provides training regarding general ledger and accounts payable topics.
- Creates and fosters an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.
- Establishes department standards, guidelines, and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.
- Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
- Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; or an Associate's degree in a related field combined with relevant Accounts Payable experience. Three (3) years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a large gaming, hospitality, or similar environment, required. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Must have excellent PC, accounting systems, and ten-key skills. Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to formulate and communicate ideas and make sound independent decisions.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:
- Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
- Obtain andmaintainrequired license(s).
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, orpurchasetobacco.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.
- Have knowledge ofpropertyprograms to address problem gambling.
- Consult with theappropriate individualsandmaintainan effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls.
- Take theappropriate stepsto investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to theappropriate levelsof management.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Memberof which they have knowledge.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Must have ability to:
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently. May include exposure to areas where there are flashing lights, loud noise, and second-hand smoke.
- Work long hours, including nights,weekendsand holidays.
- Sit or stand for extended amounts of time.
- Use standard officeequipment such ascomputerkeyboard, mouse, and monitor, copy machines, and standard desk equipment.
