Your responsibilities will include assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, as well as learning to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about learning and eager to start a rewarding career in the electrical field. Key Responsibilities and Essential Tasks:     Under Direct supervision employee has the ability to demonstrate the following competencies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Material identification and tool & equipment use  Digs trenches & excavations using power equipment. Underground conduit installation Able to mount, secure and install electrical raceways, fixtures & systems. Assists in wire pulling procedures Perform branch wire terminations Perform device wire terminations and installation Assembles pre-fabrication systems Assists with cable pullers and cable feeders. Performs all tasks in a timely manner to meet production standards Under General supervision employee has the ability to demonstrate the following competencies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Jobsite housekeeping and general labor Digs trenches & excavations using hand tools  Either enrolled as a trainee or participating in a state-approved electrical trainee program, if mandated by the state. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.  Frequently exposed to vibrations, moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, machines, dust and chemicals.  May be required to function in crawl spaces, shafts, man holes, small enclosed rooms, and other areas of close proximity.  Occasionally required to work on elevated surfaces including on ladders and lifts.    EOE QualificationsEducation, Certifications, Licenses:  High school diploma or equivalent  Enrollment in a State-approved school as an Electrician Trainee and actively taking classes  Holds a valid Electrical Apprentice License through the state of Iowa.
