SUMMARY Â
Mortenson is seeking a MEP Project Manager to lead and direct MEP-dominant projects or MEP scopes on medium to large projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and safety, while mentoring the project team and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service.Â

This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location. Â

Â
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Manage overall financial health of projectsÂ
Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projectionsÂ
Allocate project estimate into financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices, manage budgetÂ
Provide financials and billings to Accounting for timely payment, create monthly owner billingsÂ
Oversee budget and select trade partners and suppliers, handle billings and contract managementÂ
Oversee 3-D coordination process to resolve conflicts before installationÂ
Direct and manage commissioning process, including start-up plan, COT, schedule, and functional testingÂ
Lead project closeout activities, including operations and maintenance manuals, model turnover, and trainingÂ
Manage Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s), provide job assignments, career development, and feedbackÂ
Function as main contact with owner and on-site representative, resolve site concerns, build positive relationshipsÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field experienceÂ
Current driver’s licenseÂ
Ability to manage development to closeout responsibilities for complex projectsÂ
Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple project tasksÂ
Basic understanding of construction law and business practicesÂ
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web applicationsÂ
Positive, professional attitude with strong customer service skillsÂ
Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesÂ
Active listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedbackÂ
Ability to travel up to 100%Â

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum six years of construction management experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical ContractorÂ
The base pay range for this role is $113,500 Min - $170,300 MaxÂ

MEP Project Manager IIÂ
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum seven years construction management experience, preferably experience with a Mechanical or Electrical ContractorÂ
The base pay range for this role is $132,100 Min - $198,200 MaxÂ
Â
(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Â
Â
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.Â
