Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa’s Department of Urology is looking for a full-time Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist to join our growing team! PCI’s Urology department employs an excellent team of professionals who are dedicated to delivering top quality healthcare. We’re seeking a bright, compassionate individual to join us in our mission!  This is an exceptional opportunity for a therapist interested in pelvic floor therapy and dedicated to providing outstanding patient care.  

Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Manage patient caseload and provide initial and ongoing evaluations.
  • Plans and prepares treatment plans describing a strategy, purpose and anticipated outcome.
  • Administers manual exercises, application of physical agents (i.e.: ultrasound, electric stimulation)
  • Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit often conferring with physician and other practitioners.
  • Patient education for at-home exercises.
  • Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, monthly progress notes and discharge summaries timely and completely.

Qualifications:

  • Current Physical Therapist licensed in Iowa with specialized education and certifications in pelvic floor therapy.
  • Minimum two years of experience preferred.
  • Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
