Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa’s Department of Urology is looking for a full-time Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist to join our growing team! PCI’s Urology department employs an excellent team of professionals who are dedicated to delivering top quality healthcare. Primary duties for this position include, but are not limited to:Â
- Manage patient caseload and provide initial and ongoing evaluations.
- Plans and prepares treatment plans describing a strategy, purpose and anticipated outcome.
- Administers manual exercises, application of physical agents (i.e.: ultrasound, electric stimulation)
- Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit often conferring with physician and other practitioners.
- Patient education for at-home exercises.
- Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, monthly progress notes and discharge summaries timely and completely.
Qualifications:
- Current Physical Therapist licensed in Iowa with specialized education and certifications in pelvic floor therapy.
- Minimum two years of experience preferred.
- Strong Commitment to patient care and teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills, professionalism, reliability, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency (or ability to become proficient) in EMR and related computer systems.
- Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
