A bit about us:
We were founded in 1956 and have steadily grown our reputation over the years into one of the largest and most respected machine job shops in the Upper Midwest. We specialize in repair and small run production machining, this family-owned company is now owned by the children of the original owners and they continue to serve on the companys Board of Directors.
In 1975, the company founded a second company, which services customers in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin as a distributor of Heavy Truck Parts. In 1995, both companies underwent an expansion when we moved out of the building it shared with our second company and into a new 45,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled manufacturing facility located on a 6-acre site in SW Cedar Rapids. This move allowed us to more than double its capacity and employment of skilled machinists. With the expansion, the company was able to better serve its customer base and the business grew to the level it is at today. In the summer of 2005, we expanded with a 15,000 sq. ft. addition to the machining facility.

Manual Machinist (Need one for 1st Shift and one for 2nd Shift)
1st shift works Mon.-Fri. 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
2nd shift works Mon.-Thurs. 3:15 pm -1:45 am. 10% wage premium for 2nd shift
Salary: $28.00 to $35.00 per hour
*Signing Bonus: $5,000.00

**We are an ISO certified, full service Machine shop that specializes in job shop (manual) machining. We also specializes in large CNC turning and milling of short run production and/or prototype parts. Other in-house departments include fabrication of weldments, CNC burn table, Blanchard grinding, stress relieving, and on-site machining. Located in Cedar Rapids, IA, we operate in a 60,000 sq. ft. climate controlled building.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Applicants must have the ability to set up and run larger manual lathes and mills
- Must also be able to work in fast paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Capable of measuring and inspecting final products
- Welding capabilities are a big plus
- CNC experience is a plus
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 is a plus
