Jefferson Abington Hospital is seeking a full-time Infectious Disease Physician to join our growing team in Abington, Pennsylvania. This is an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient infectious disease care in a collaborative, academic environment within Jefferson Health, one of the region's most respected health systems. 

The successful candidate will join a team of 6experienced infectious disease specialists dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medical education, and supporting the continued growth of our Infectious Disease program. 

Job Description 

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient infectious disease consultation services, with a wide variety of clinical pathology. 

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of infectious disease specialists, hospitalists, surgeons, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals across multiple departments. 

  • Teach and mentor medical students and residents within a vibrant academic environment.

Qualifications 

  • MD or DO degree required. 

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases. 

  • Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 

  • Prior inpatient infectious disease experience preferred. 

  • Interest in teaching, collaboration, and academic medicine is highly desirable.
