Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Account Representative II, you will resolve complex regulatory and commercial accounts, meticulously analyze EOBs to problem-solve outstanding accounts, and manage credit balances and necessary refunds. Every day you will facilitate in-depth analysis and research of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), identify root causes for outstanding balances, and ensure accurate and compliant resolution of patient accounts, contributing to the financial health of the organization. To be successful in this role, you will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail in financial reconciliation, a deep understanding of regulatory and commercial billing, and the ability to effectively resolve complex patient account issues.

 

  • Performs account review to resolve regulatory and commercial accounts.
  • Researches outstanding accounts by partnering with peers, vendors, and patients.
  • Partners with facility peers to resolve any edits or communicate any additional information needed to collect outstanding accounts.
  • Researches outstanding issues to assist in the facilitation of timely account resolution.
  • Utilizes problemsolving skills to coordinate with the revenue management team on issues that may arise as it pertains to billing.
  • Generates letters to patients for COBs or to obtain additional account information.

This position has the ability to work remote 100%; however will have to go on-site (Mineral campus in Centennial Co.) for in person meetings and or if experiencing Internet or computer issues. 

Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Two (2) years computer experience, strong customer service skills

Preferred

  • Prior office experience in a healthcare environment, medical terminology, and the ability to multitask and prioritize
