General Job Description

Residential Electrical Service Technician 

Compensation: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour, depending on experience and skill level

 

We are seeking an experienced Residential Electrical Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality electrical service and maintenance to residential customers, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction. You’ll work both independently and as part of a dynamic service team to troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform service calls, repairs, and maintenance on residential electrical systems

  • Diagnose electrical issues and provide effective solutions while adhering to NEC and local codes

  • Install, replace, and upgrade wiring, panels, outlets, fixtures, and other electrical components

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, team members, and other stakeholders

  • Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Specific Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Current Colorado Residential Wireman License (minimum requirement)

  • Proven experience as a residential electrician or service technician

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and best practices

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong attention to detail

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with team members and customers

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs

  • Ability to work in various environments including confined spaces, attics, and outdoor conditions

  • Frequent standing, bending, climbing, and use of hand and power tools

  • Must be comfortable working on ladders and at heights as needed
