The Role: Customer Service Representative
In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by handling inbound calls, entering patient information, verifying insurance, and coordinating medical equipment orders for our Orthotics & Prosthetics department.

 

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a high-volume call center or healthcare customer service environment.
  • Strong computer skills and experience navigating multiple software windows simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a clear, professional telephone voice.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and medical insurance preferred.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Answer high-volume inbound calls from patients, caregivers, and medical facilities with empathy, active listening, and professionalism.
  • Schedule patient evaluations, fittings, and follow-up appointments across multiple clinic locations using our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  • Collect and accurately enter patient demographic and insurance information. Provide basic answers regarding insurance verification, authorizations, and billing.
  • Assess patient needs and accurately route complex clinical questions to the appropriate Orthotist, Prosthetist, or clinical staff member.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and HIPAA-compliant records of all customer interactions in the database.
