Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Sodecia - CL - Center Line, MI 48015Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $20.51 - $20.51 HourlyTravel Percentage: NegligibleJob Shift: AnyJob Category: ManufacturingPOSITION REPORTS TO: MATERIAL MANAGER JOB SUMMARY: Load, Unload staged materials on and off Sodecia NA leased truck, drive truck to various locations as required.  Internal material handling as required. JOB RESPONSIBILITES: Drive Sodecia NA leased straight truck to locations as required in accordance with traffic laws. Load / unload trailers in a safe manner and observe pedestrian safety. Ensure that trailers are properly loaded to avoid damage to material & trailers. Record shortages and ensure damaged goods go to Quarantine area (inform Q.A. of procedures taken.).   In the event that there is no truck to load or unload, assist warehouse and production material handlers, as required. Perform other duties as required by the Material Handling Supervisor. QualificationsEDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS: High School 12 Diploma.  Successfully complete Sodecia NA certification on lift truck and propane. Successfully complete Sodecia NA certification for truck driving G Class drivers license and good driving record 3 years experience in a similar position. Good working knowledge of MRP system.  Good communication skills (both written and oral) are an asset   WORKING CONDITIONS: Able to cope under stress of fast paced environment.   Handle multiple tasks while maintaining organization. Must be willing to work in a Union environment. Union membership is required SAFETY AND HOUSEKEEPING:             Adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the OHSA.   Follow and ensure the Company’s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout the plant. Operate lease truck in accordance with traffic laws Work and operate equipment according to Aetna’s safety rules and regulations.   Keep work area clean, tidy, and organized.
