Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Execute engine performance and emission development along with data analysis
Perform base engine calibration and aftertreatment calibration (BS6) which includes DOC, DPF and SCR
Develop and execute selection of emission related hardwares like Turbocharger, Fuel Injectors, Piston Bowl, Aftereatment system etc.
Evaluate OBD monitoring strategies and perform calibration of different monitors
Handles multiple analytical tools / softwares like AVL CONCERTO, INCA, PUMA
Provides good understanding of heavy duty diesel emissions BS6.1 & 6.2 regulatory requirements including diagnostics
Provide support in vehicle calibration
Analyse and determines Heavy duty commercial vehicle application duty cycles and its criticallity 
Define and execute calibration plan and DOE on engine dynamometer
Report making and presentations to communicate findings, draw conclusions and give recommendations on next steps
Stays aware of new and upcoming aftertreatment technologies and testing methods
Interaction with FIE, TC, after treatment suppliers and other emission hardware suppliers 
Assessment and documentation of test results and delivery of calibrations.
Creation of technical development reports for status of the completed calibration tasks.

Experience

4 to 6 Years

Industry Preferred

Automotive OEM, Engine Consultancy like AVL, Bosch etc., FIE supplier.

Qualifications

BE / B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech

Knowledge in emission norms.
Knowledge in aftertreatment systems.
Communication and presentation skills

Test bed planning and execution
