About the Role
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a 5th Grade General Education Teacher to support students in Center, CO. In this role, you'll create an engaging and supportive classroom environment, deliver high-quality instruction across core subject areas, and help students develop the academic skills, confidence, and independence they need to succeed. You'll collaborate with school staff, families, and a supportive district while making a meaningful impact on student growth and achievement.

This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about building strong relationships with students, creating engaging learning experiences, and fostering a positive classroom culture where every student can thrive.

What You'll Do

• Plan and deliver engaging 5th grade instruction aligned with Colorado academic standards

• Create lesson plans that support diverse learning styles, academic needs, and student interests

• Differentiate instruction to promote student success across all ability levels

• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback and progress reports

• Foster a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages learning, respect, and collaboration

• Build strong relationships with students, families, and school staff

• Collaborate with administrators, colleagues, and support staff to support student achievement

• Maintain accurate records, attendance, and required documentation

• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license with appropriate elementary education endorsement

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Passion for helping students succeed academically and personally

• Ability to create engaging, inclusive learning environments

• School-based teaching experience preferred, but not required
