The Opportunity  

 

Join Bureau Veritas as a Chemist and play a key role in supporting the analysis of mineral samples within a high-volume laboratory environment. Working alongside an experienced team, you’ll assist with quality oversight, method performance review of mineral sample analysis and the delivery of accurate results. Key Responsibilities  

 

  • Classical and Instrumental analysis
  • Review and maintain equipment performance checks
  • Prepare working standards solution for ICP and AAS
  • Coordinate external equipment maintenance
  • Conduct and coordinate equipment calibration
  • Review method adequacy and alignment with industry standards
  • Maintain trainings records and training programs
  • Assist with investigations of quality incidents
  • Prepare Quality Assurance reports
  • Adhere to all safety, quality and laboratory compliance requirements.
  • Support the laboratory Management and wider team with daily laboratory operations.

 

About You  

 

  • Tertiary Qualification in Chemistry.
  • Strong Quality Systems Knowledge (ISO 17025 and or ISO 9001).
  • Advanced ICP Operation, Optimisation and Troubleshooting Knowledge.
  • Previous laboratory experience is required, ideally within minerals, mining or a related industry.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate results.
  • Ability to develop and implement new methods according to client needs.
  • Reliable, team-focused, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Enthusiastic about learning new skills and developing a long-term career in laboratory operations.
