Position: Line Cook

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week; schedule to include days, weekends, holidays, and events as needed

Pay: $22.00/hr.

Location: Essex, CT

Essex Meadows is looking for a cook with a passion for creating healthy, delicious food dishes with herbs, vegetables and fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

Position Overview
•    Opportunity to apply skills and techniques, and learn new ones, to help improve kitchen performance and overall quality of food.
•    Gain experience through hands-on training of how each dish is prepared from start to finish.  
•    Understand daily procedures of how to maintain a clean, efficient and friendly kitchen environment.  
•    Learn how to work in a fast-paced restaurant to provide quality food and memorable experiences for our clientele and guests.
•    The line cook position provides year-round stability with consistent hours and paid time off. 
•    Experience with this type of food preparation is desired, but it is not necessary if you are open to learning new preparation methods.  

Qualifications
•    Some restaurant experience is required along with a positive personality and a strong work ethic.

•    Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English. 
•    Ability to perform simple arithmetic and understand measurements and conversions.
