Position: Server - Part-time and full-time opportunities

Schedule: 20 to 40 hours a week. Weekends, holidays, and events as needed

Pay: $18 per hour

Location: Essex, CT

General Summary:

Join our culinary team and deliver hands-on, hospitality-focused service in a fine dining setting. Whether you're experienced or eager to learn, we’ll train you to shine.

Essential Job Duties:

• Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests. 
• Have knowledge of all current offerings and specials.
• Properly carry and handle service trays in a safe and professional manner.
• Learn the department’s steps of service throughout the meal period, answering questions, and making appropriate suggestions regarding food and beverages. 
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of side stations and equipment, reporting any equipment problems immediately to the manager. Keep service items restocked as needed throughout the service period.
• Fulfill all assigned side work during and prior to the end of your shift.
• Assists with dish washing and distribution of clean dishes if needed.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned. 
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer, or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests. 
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, management and peers. 
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively. 

All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
