Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our Skilled Nursing Facility team. The Activities Assistant will help plan, organize, and implement engaging activities for residents throughout the shift to enhance their physical, mental, and social well-being.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily activity programs for residents throughout the shift

  • Lead and support group activities such as games, crafts, exercise, music, and social events

  • Provide one-on-one activities for residents as needed

  • Encourage resident participation and engagement

  • Transport residents to and from activity areas when necessary

  • Assist with decorating and preparing materials for special events and holidays

  • Document participation and attendance as required

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with residents, families, and staff

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience in long-term care, activities, recreation, or healthcare preferred

  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Ability to lift, bend, and assist residents as needed

Work Schedule

  • Full-time position

  • Must be available to work weekdays and occasional weekends/holidays as needed
