Providence Medical Group is a progressive organization offering competitive compensation and benefits in a supportive, professional work environment.  We are currently in search of a front office specialist for our busy Centerville pediatrics location. 

Contemporary Pediatrics, like all Providence primary care practices, is a recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home, and focuses on building lasting patient relationships based on trust and continuity of care.

What you will do:

The FOS is typically the first point of contact (via phone and in-person) for the office. You will provide a wide variety of administrative support duties including but not limited to:


 Job Duties:

  • Greets patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Answers telephone calls, schedules appointments, and completes referrals
  • Verifies patient demographics and insurance information and ensures information is up to date and accurate
  • Collects co-payments and outstanding patient balances
  • Ensures patients are scheduled for follow-up appointments and annual well visits
  • Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Any other duties relating to the business operation of the medical practice that may be assigned by the provider or site supervisor.

Job Requirements:

  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous front office experience or background in general office work.
  • Ability to comprehend established office routines and policies.
  • Learns quickly from oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to operate a computer.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of CPT & ICD-10coding.
  • Understand HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability)
  • Good organization skills
  • Tact and diplomacy
