Summary:Ā 
The Field Service Technician II – will assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities. This work includes preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters.
Ā 
Requirements:Ā Ā Ā 
  • Takes direction from senior site personnel.
  • Sets positive example for junior technicians.
  • Troubleshoots low voltageĀ DC power systems.
  • Troubleshoots low voltage and medium voltage AC power systems.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems.
  • Uses hand tools effectivelyĀ and appropriately.
  • Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintains inventory of spare parts and consumables.
  • Follows site safety plan and safe work practices.
  • Adheres to proper Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) practices and procedures.
  • Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.).
  • Interfaces with project subcontractors.
  • Represents RES in professional manner to project stakeholders.
  • Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
  • Presets, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action.Ā  Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
  • Ensures that safety is the most important function, follows safe practices while working.
  • Reinforces safe behaviors and eliminates ā€œat riskā€ behaviors.
  • Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
  • Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) occurs before scopes of work commence.
  • Adheres to and understands standard operating procedures.
  • Receives job- and task-specific training prior to work commencing.

Ā Qualifications:Ā 
  • High school/GED General Education required.
  • Associate degree Related Technical Degree preferred.
  • Certification OSHA 10/30 preferred.
  • Certification FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot preferred.
  • 3+ years or moreĀ Related maintenanceĀ experienceĀ required.Ā 
  • Basic knowledge of:
    • High voltage electrical power systems
  • Intermediate Knowledge
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
    • Low voltage and medium voltage electrical power systems
    • Drawings
    • Circuit theory
    • OSHA regulations
    • Equipment operation (skid-steer, forklift, etc.)
    • Job hazard analysis (JHA) creation
    • Electrical tools (multimeter, IR camera)
    • ANSI/NETA/MTS
    • SCADA systems
  • Advanced
    • Hand tools
  • Functional Competencies Include:Ā  Collaboration, Attention to Detail,Ā Ethics & Integrity, Communication and Prioritization.
  • DomesticĀ travelĀ 5-15% required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.Ā

Anticipated base salary range:Ā  $28.79Ā - $35.99

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
