Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

The purpose of this position is to coordinate student recruitment and admission activities for applicants.  The position will serve as a resource, providing information on College programs to interested applicants.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  • Organizes, plans, and executes strategic enrollment management plans with program chairs and academic leadership. Builds target budget to grow applications and enrollments.  

  • Researches, determines, plans, implements and conducts on and off-campus recruitment with high schools, colleges, and healthcare facilities within assigned territory.   

  • Counsels prospective students and applicants regarding College admissions’ policies and procedures, program admission requirements and procedures, and prerequisite course requirements and equivalences. 

  • Collaborates with academic advisors to ensure student success from inquiry to graduation   

  • Identifies and evaluates opportunities for program expansion through regional and national partnerships. .  Supports the Financial Aid Office by providing information about options and resources for funding. 

  • Identifies areas for continuous improvement to curriculum, admissions standards, transferability of credit, process improvement, and pricing structure.  Provides recommendations and enhancements to management. 

  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.  

  • Valid and current Iowa driver’s license. 

  • Ability to work weekends and evenings. 

  • Ability to travel overnight. 

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, written and presentation communication skills. 

  • Excellent attention to detail. 

  • Two years’ experience in admissions and/or a higher education environment preferred.   

  • Master’s degree preferred.
