The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner. An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role.

Required qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field.
Within 1 year of hire: National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (Facility Managed)
2 years Healthcare experience
2 years Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience

Preferred qualifications:

Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field.
4 years Healthcare experience
4 years Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
