Net Helper

Description

The Net Helper supports the production and finishing of plastic netting products by assisting machine operators and production teams with setup, material handling, quality checks, and packaging. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficient production flow, ensuring product quality, and supporting safe operations in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Production Support

• Assist netting machine operators with setup, startup, and changeovers
• Supply raw materials (resin, rolls, packaging) to production lines
• Monitor production flow and help maintain continuous operation
• Remove finished netting from machines and prepare for packaging

Material Handling and Packaging

• Handle and transport finished products, scrap, and materials throughout the facility
• Package finished netting according to specifications and customer requirements
• Label products accurately and stage for shipment or storage
• Maintain organized work areas and assist with inventory handling

Quality Support

• Visually inspect netting for defects such as tears, inconsistencies, or improper sizing
• Follow quality standards and report any production or product issues to operators or supervisors
• Assist in measuring and verifying product specifications as needed

Safety and Housekeeping

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment (5S practices)
• Assist with cleanup of work areas, equipment, and production lines
• Identify and report potential safety hazards

Team Support

• Work closely with operators, leads, and supervisors to support production goals
• Assist in training new employees when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred but not required
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Repetitive use of hands for handling materials and packaging
• Ability to work around machinery and production equipment

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment
• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Fast-paced production setting
• May require overtime, shift work, or weekend coverage
