This position will report to: Warehouse Manager,

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Shift: Swing

Employment Category: Full-Time Regular

Pay: $18.14 to $21.01

JOB STATEMENT: A Picker will perform the duties of warehousing, stickering, and picking. All activities will be completed in a safe and efficient manner.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Understand and comply with all ISO9001, HACCP, and GMP
  • Learn and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Adhere to recycling requirements.
  • Operate lift equipment:
    • Manuel pallet truck
    • Electric pallet truck
  • Operate dock equipment:
    • Ramps
    • Reach conveyer.
  • Document pre-use pallet truck lift inspection (Electric)
  • Product scanning
  • Move DSD trucks between docks and parking area
  • Scan, pick, and place cases onto the pick module conveyer.
  • Remove cases from the pick module conveyer, stacking the cases in a cargo van or on a pallet
  • Rework and document damaged product
  • Open and close dock and cargo doors
  • Apply labels (stickering) to the corresponding cases, restacking as required
  • Stack cases on pallets or on the floor
  • Wrap product by hand or machine
  • Report damaged equipment or improperly working equipment (belts, slats, reaches, rollers, lights, racks, and ramps)
  • Start and stop the pick module
  • Load and offload cargo vans and trailers by hand or pallet truck
  • Secure and protect outbound loads as required
  • Receive and put away returns
  • Move received products from the dock to designated rows or slots
  • Ensure that staged product is in ship ready condition
  • Stack cases in a safe and efficient manner
  • Participate in shift meetings, safety training, and Tailgates
  • Maintain a safe, clutter free, and clean work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Speak, read, and write English
  • Basic math
  • Follow written and verbal instructions
  • Learn warehouse product flow and systems
  • Learn and operate additional types of lifts (counter balanced and narrow aisle).
  • Pass OSHA certification for pallet truck
  • Pallet patterns, counts, and ties
  • Wine bottle/keg/box sizes, vintages, varieties, and alcohol percentages
  • Work under the direction of supervision
  • Work under time restraints


Education/Experience:

  • Highschool or GED preferred
  • Willingness to work safely and accurately


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reach, lift, and stack items up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending at the hip and knees



WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Moving equipment and machinery
  • Stairs (pick module)
  • Foot traffic
  • Indoor warehouse
  • Occasional outside duties


PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: 

  • Side shield safety glasses, head/ear protection, high-visibility vest and proper footwear when in production facility.
