Main purpose of the Editorial Operations Coordinator role:
The Editorial Operations Coordinator serves as the operational hub for editorial, e-commerce, physical retail, and cross-functional content initiatives. This role connects internal teams across Creative, Editorial, E-commerce, Merchandising, Buying, Marketing, Social, PR, Production, Studio, Retail, Site, CRM/Email, and external partners to ensure projects move from planning through execution with clarity, accountability, and consistency.
This person is responsible for coordinating priorities, managing timelines, tracking samples and assets, driving cross-functional communication, and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned to deliver editorial, campaign, e-commerce, retail, and special launch content on time and to brand standards.
Success in this role requires exceptional follow-through, strong operational discipline, and the ability to support both fast-moving daily content needs and larger cross-functional brand initiatives.
Major Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage the Editorial calendar, including scheduling shoots, updating calendars, and ensuring all teams have the latest shoot information. Coordinate editorial shoot planning, including sample needs, shoot schedules, product priorities, creative team details, model information, call sheets, production documents, and post-shoot follow-up.
- Partner with teams to kick off special launches, ensuring all participants are prepared and accountable for execution by helping coordinate timelines, owners, product needs, and deliverables.
- Perform as the operational liaison between teams, driving clarity, communication, and follow-through throughout the production lifecycle.
- Maintain project and sample trackers to support timely execution for all involved teams including sample returns to vendors, model and creative team contracts, compiling necessary accounting documents for timely payments.
- Escalate risks, delays, or competing priorities that may impact editorial or commerce production timelines.
- Troubleshoot discrepancies involving sample availability, product information, and production logistics.
Required Competencies:

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and an excellent communicator with a strong understanding of fashion content production and retail/e-commerce workflows. This person must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, keep teams accountable, anticipate issues before they become blockers, and ensure products, samples, creative assets, production details, and launch needs are secured and communicated across all relevant teams.
Minimum Qualifications:Â
- At least 3 years experience producing photo shoots, including working with modeling agencies + related vendors
- At least 3 years experience managing calendars, budgets, and planning
- Use of Microsoft Office, Gmail, Google Cal and Google Drive Applications (including Spreadsheets)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in editorial operations, fashion production, content operations, or a related field.
- Experience working within a fashion, retail, luxury, beauty, or lifestyle brand environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of fashion product lifecycles, sample management, and content production workflows.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills with internal and external partners.
- Proficiency with project management tools Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and content management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

A reasonable estimate of the current annual salary range is $72,000 to $75,000
