Job Description 

Summary/objective

The Internet Sales Team Lead develops and implements effective strategies to drive online sales growth, leveraging various digital platforms and tools.

Essential functions

  • Lead Management: Manage inbound sales leads received through website inquiries, emails, chat, and other online channels. Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, providing information, scheduling appointments, and guiding customers through the buying process.
  • Customer Engagement: Build rapport with online customers, understanding their needs, preferences, and budget constraints. Provide personalized assistance and product recommendations to facilitate a seamless purchasing experience.
  • Sales Conversion: Utilize persuasive communication skills and product knowledge to convert online leads into sales. Overcome objections, negotiate terms, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and post-sale follow-up. Maintain regular communication to address any concerns, answer questions, and promote repeat business and referrals.
  • Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards
  • Understands and follow all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors
  • Upholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
  • Maintains a professional appearance for self in accordance with company policy
  • Attends pertinent training on request
  • Attends company meetings as required

 

Competencies

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales team, management, and other departments to ensure alignment of online and offline sales efforts. Share insights, best practices, and feedback to optimize processes and enhance overall sales performance.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics affecting online sales. Conduct regular analysis of sales data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • CRM Utilization: Effectively utilize eLead CRM system to manage leads, track sales activities, and streamline processes. Ensure accurate and timely data entry and reporting to support decision-making and performance analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate via face-to-face, phone, or by other means of communication
  • Ability to demonstrate the feature, benefits and value of vehicles using print, digital and in person communication
  • Ability to vary communication style to the needs of the customer
  • Ability to understand, keeps abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that impact business

Supervisory responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and support sales staff in effective online sales techniques, lead management best practices, and customer engagement strategies. Provide ongoing guidance and feedback to ensure team success.

May be required to do limited traveling, primarily for training purposes

Required education and experience

High School Diploma or equivalent; and one to two year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior retail experience is required.

Preferred education and experience

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent; and one to three year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior retail experience in a dealership is preferred.

 

Additional eligibility requirements

Manufacturer training is preferred but not required
