Keystone Sheets, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, and corrugated manufacturing industry leader currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Machine Corrugator Operator in Chambersburg, PA! The Machine Corrugator Operator is responsible for all activities associated with running the single-facer and assisting in wet-end and dry-end operations, including setup, operation, cleanup and recommending improvements to operations.

Essential Job Functions:
- Operate the single facers & double backer to produce the highest level of production and quality.
- Check wet end line-ups to verify correct roll stock is received and used.
- Put rolls of paper in mill roll stands ensuring proper size and grade of paper to be run and make splices and paper changes, as necessary.
- Trim only the necessary amount of paper from the rolls when preparing for splices.
- Remove roll stock from the machine when necessary and mark the proper size, grade, diameter and lineal footage on the roll and place core plugs in each end of the butt rolls.
- Continuously monitor the board during runs to ensure quality and adjust, as necessary. Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
- Clean starch pan, glue roll and single-facer area after changing flutes and at the end of the production week.
- Take all paper off cores of stub rolls.
- Assist in the wet training of the Single Facer & Double backer and dry end personnel.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required, and attendance must be exemplary at all times. Must be able to work flexible hours and/or extended hours.

Required Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.
- 6 months experience on the dry end of the corrugator.
- 6 months experience as a Double backer Operator.
- Eligible to bid for this position under the present labor/management agreement or have current work-related experience.

- Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.
- Product layouts and production specifications; product quality; quality standards.
- Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentage, measurement, volume, and rate.
- Able to apply concepts of high school math.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees of the organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.Â
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud and it is required that you wear hearing protection. Safety glasses within the plant are also required. Safety shoes are encouraged. Employee must watch where he/she walks to remain safe.
