Float Pool – Registered Nurse
- The Float Pool provides staff the opportunity to train to various departments within Patient Services.
- Minimum requirements are to work in the Medical/Surgical, Tele/Obs and IMCU units.
- Additional training to CCU, Emergency Room and Behavioral Health Services are encouraged but not required.
- Previous medical/surgical experience required
- Full time (72 hours biweekly).
- Shift: 7pm-7am (12-hour night).
- Every 4th weekend
- Eligible for shift and weekend differential.
- Only 2 holidays per year
The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for implementing, directing and coordinating the care of patients through the use of the nursing process: assessment, planning implementation and evaluation. Included is recognition and treatment of the physical and psychosocial changes unique to the age/population group served on the specific unit.
