CNA - Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
- 30-bed Intermediate Care Unit providing care for the following patients
- Post Interventional
- Electrophysiology pre- post procedures i.e. ablations, pacemakers
- Respiratory Failure
- High acuity patients with a strong focus on cardiac care
- Functions as a step-down intermediate care unit meeting the acute care patient needs.
- EKG Class, ACLS and residency classes are provided.
- Individualized, comprehensive program with a primary preceptor.
- A floating charge nurse for support on every shift 7 days a week
- PRN - will need to work a min of 24 hours off shift per 6-week schedule
- 12-hour day/evening/night
- Weekend and Holiday as needed
- Shift and Weekend Differential Eligibility
Position Function: The Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) functions as an integral part of the patient care team by performing selected patient/resident care treatments and tasks as delegated by licensed nurses and is accountable for his/her own action in performing duties as assigned and for which he/she is trained. Included is recognition and understanding of the physical, cognitive and psychosocial changes unique to the age group served.
