PRN Monitor Technician - Telemetry/Observation Unit (Tele/Obs) 

• 30-bed Telemetry-Observation Unit providing care to the cardiac, the medical and the surgical patient
• We use an Interdisciplinary team approach to patient care
• Short length of stay for most patients
• EKG, ACLS, and residency classes are provided
• Individualized orientation program for each new member joining our team
• PRN - will need to work a min of 24 hours off shift per 6-week schedule
• 12-hour day/evening/night
• Weekend and Holiday as needed
• Shift and Weekend Differential Eligibility

Position Function:     The Monitor Technician monitors patients’ EKG waveforms, rhythms, and vital signs in a centralized monitoring station.  The Monitor Technician provides the nurses and physicians with precise analysis of cardiac rhythms through oral communication and written documentation.  The Monitor Technician detects abnormal pattern variances and notifies the primary RN immediately.
