Description

Why Edelman?

Are you a master electrician who's ready to run the job and the team, not just work it? At Edelman, we're not just installing systems; we're building a team of leaders. We're looking for a Lead Electrician to take ownership of residential and commercial projects from rough-in through trim-out, run a crew, and step into Project Manager work on office spaces, restaurants, banks, and commercial build-outs. If you have the experience, the code knowledge, and the leadership instinct to make every job site better, this is your opportunity.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the Job Site: Take full ownership of residential and commercial installations, from blueprint walkthrough to final inspection, working unsupervised on standard replacements and complex builds.
  • Run a Crew: Direct assistants and junior electricians, hit target labor hours, and keep every project on budget and on schedule.
  • Project Manage: Step into Project Manager work on office, restaurant, bank, and commercial build-outs after handoff — walkthroughs, inspections, change documentation, all of it.
  • Solve Problems: When challenges come up in the field, you'll find the answer first and only loop in the Electrical Manager when you genuinely need them, always offering a path forward.
  • Ensure Quality and Code Compliance: From NEC-compliant branch circuits to fire alarm installs, your work will meet the Edelman code-and-craft standard every time.
  • Deliver an Experience: As the face of Edelman on the job site, you'll create a professional, respectful, high-quality experience for every customer and every general contractor.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of residential or commercial electrical experience. 7+ years preferred.
  • Certifications: Valid driver license and insurable through our company insurance carrier. Possess the tools required to perform at Install Level 5.
  • Expertise: Solid command of the NEC, blueprint reading, branch circuits, residential service builds, multi-family metering, fire alarm installation, and 1000-volt-and-below diagnostics. Comfortable with ServiceTitan and ProCore without manager help.
  • Mindset: You're a Solutions Driven problem-solver and a Humbly Confident leader who puts the team's best interest on level with your own — the kind of pro junior electricians want to learn from.
  • Dependability: You're on-time daily, prepared, organized, and safe — and you take pride in your truck, your tools, and your job site.

Ready to Lead?

If you're looking for a role where your craftsmanship is the standard and your leadership is part of the job, we want to talk to you. Apply today and start building a career at Edelman that you can be proud of.
