Job DetailsJob Location: University (LLC) - Champaign, IL 61820Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 2-Year DegreeSalary Range: $22.94 - $44.55 HourlyJob Shift: 1st ShiftJob Category: NursingChristie Clinic's department of Hematology-Oncology is seeking a full-time LPN or RN (Sign-On Bonus Available) in their Medical Suite office on University from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements. This position will allow for the possibility of a hybrid/remote schedule of one-two days per week once training and department competencies are successfully completed as determined by the department. The nurse in this role must be flexible to work onsite, if needed, for operational needs. Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Job Qualifications and ExpectationsJOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.) Instruct patients regarding the collection of samples and tests. Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.  Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc. Instruct patients and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education. Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment to ensure patients with emergency situations are given priority and documenting appropriately. Oversee patient scheduling to ensure patients in emergency situations are given priority. Send prescription refills in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider. Obtain prior authorizations for medications, testing, procedures, equipment, etc. Maintain work list from provider and follow up on labs, tests, reports, etc. Attend and participate in departmental huddles and any other meetings as necessary. Perform related work as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Graduation from an accredited school of nursing Evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional nursing experience CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:  Valid state license to practice nursing CPR Certification TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 75 pounds.  Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.            TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids and other waste common to a health care environment.    Requirements may include working irregular hours. PAY AND BENEFITS: The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria. This position allows for interchangeable credentialed roles with varying pay ranges: LPN pay range: $22.94 to $31.54 /hr.  RN pay range: $32.40 to $44.55 /hr.
