Leidos is seeking a full time Quality Control Coordinator for its Residential Program. This position will provide technical expertise and assistance in the design and curation of processes and procedures related to quality assurance of energy efficiency related work. It will diagnose and provide recommended solutions to situations as they arise or will arise related to site-based weatherization and energy saving work. The successful candidate may also be responsible for some day-to-day coordination of quality work amongst other field staff, subcontractors, and contractors while improving overall productivity and quality; as well as performing direct inspections.
Must be highly motivated, well organized, self-starting, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and work well in a team setting. Willingness to learn, grow, and expand capabilities is a strong plus for this position.
Location:
Candidate must be located in the Ameren Illinois service territory. The Ameren Illinois service territory includes several large to mid-size communities such as Galesburg, Quincy, Peoria, Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Danville, Decatur, Springfield, Charleston-Mattoon, Effingham, Mt. Vernon, Marion, Carbondale, and MetroEast (Belleville, O'Fallon, Granite City, Edwardsville, Alton, Collinsville). He/she will need to perform work duties in that area with travel up to 50% of the time. An ideal candidate would be located around Springfield or Champaign-Urbana.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Residential Quality Manager to ensure compliance to contracted project quality checks and project risk mitigation in support of program energy savings goals and providing a highly desirable program for Ameren Illinois and their customers
- Conduct field project inspections to ensure work is installed per program requirements, using internal database to document results, perform follow-up during project error resolution
- Document or ensure documentation is in place for all inspections and quality discussions throughout the entire Residential Energy Efficiency Program.
- Assist with continuous internal process improvement, program standards review, and documentation
- Develop reports, tracking, and analysis for project quality monitoring and improvement that drive towards a proactive quality assurance approach; with report delivery on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or yearly cadence.
- Work closely with inspectors in all aspects of program guidelines to ensure the energy efficiency and weatherization measures are installed safely, accurately, completely and in a timely manner.
- Provide building science technical training to energy efficiency program partners
- Perform other duties and ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned Coordinate with field staff and program allies to support Energy Efficiency projects from proposal to completion.
- Provide technical support and guidance to all business partners as needed.
Required Education & Experience
- One of the following: 5+ years residential weatherization installation, 5+ years remodel construction, and/or 5+ years HVAC service technician, 5+ years as a Home Inspector
- Superior communication, collaboration, and task management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well with internal teams, external contractors, and as an individual
- Proven ability in process improvement & streamlining, content management, and document control
- The ability and flexibility to adjust to changing schedules driven by operational requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (may include occasional overnight travel)
Desired Education & Experience:
- Knowledge of safe work practices to ensure the job site and personnel maintain compliance with the same
- Proficient in Salesforce and/or Power BI
- Proficiency with weatherization-related diagnostic tools

Pay Range:
Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
