Job DetailsJob Location: University (LLC) - Champaign, IL 61820Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 2-Year DegreeSalary Range: $32.91 - $45.26 HourlyJob Shift: 1st ShiftJob Category: Allied HealthChristie Clinic's department of OB/GYN is seeking a full-time or part-time Ultrasonographer (Sign-On Bonus Available) from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm at the University clinic, with no night or weekend requirements. Duties include the performance of a wide range of ultrasound procedures in order to produce results for providers in the diagnosis of diseases. Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound program with RDMS (OB/GYN) or registry eligible for RDMS (OB/GYN), demonstrate clinical experience performing Obstetrical and Gynecological Sonography, evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s in accordance with ARDMS (OB/GYN) is required. Previous OB/GYN Ultrasound experience strongly preferred. Job Qualifications and ExpectationsJOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.) Perform a wide range of Ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to, obstetrical and gynecological. Assist the Obstetrician/Gynecologist in special scans such as Sonohysterograms and Amniocentesis. Ensure that sterile and aseptic techniques are use at all times. Prepare exam room for each patient, clean, and restock daily. Greet the patient, explain the procedure, prepare and position the patient, select appropriate transducers and other necessary items for the procedure. Evaluate the ordered exam to ensure it is correct, make any necessary changes to the electronic order prior to scanning the patient. Verify that the exam on the work list is the correct exam and that the accession number matches the number on the order. Evaluate the clinical history and document history to record into the system notes. Recognize the need for additional imaging and/or positioning to fully illustrate the area in question. Adjust frequency, gain, depth, focal zone, size and field of view.  Use Harmonies or Color Doppler and other factors as necessary. Verify the images on the system, making certain that all images have arrived and all notes are correct. Attend and participate in CI huddles Perform related work as required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound program with RDMS  (OB/GYN) or registry eligible for RDMS (OB/GYN) Demonstrate clinical experience performing Obstetrical and Gynecological Sonography Evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU’s in accordance with ARDMS (OB/GYN) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous OB/GYN Ultrasound experience     CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:  RDMS (OB/GYN) CPR Certification Nuchal Translucency Certification preferred: must actively pursue Nuchal Translucency Certification by 120 days of employment and attain within 12 months of employment TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 25 pounds.  Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an outpatient environment.  Patient loads are high and the work is fast paced.  Employees must be willing to work flexible hours.
