Located in Champaign, Illinois, Animal Hospital at the Crossing is a compassionate, patient-focused veterinary hospital dedicated to providing excellent medical care for pets and exceptional service to their families. We’re looking for a dependable and personable Veterinary Receptionist to join our team and help create a welcoming experience from the moment clients walk through our doors.

What You’ll Do
- Greet clients and their pets warmly and professionally.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to client questions.
- Check patients in and out of the hospital efficiently and accurately.
- Collect payments and process transactions.
- Maintain accurate client and patient records.
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff.
- Assist with prescription refill requests and client communications.
- Coordinate appointments, follow-ups, and referrals.
- Provide clear information about hospital services and policies.
- Handle client concerns and sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Support general administrative duties and daily hospital workflow as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous veterinary reception or veterinary hospital experience is preferred.
- Customer service, medical office, or administrative experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- The ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working around dogs, cats, and other animals.
- A compassionate and professional approach during stressful or emotional situations.
- Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn veterinary software.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a team-focused mindset.
