WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Proficiency in sizing and selecting components and their use in complex assemblies.
  • Define and supervise prototype builds, testing, and external certifications, with some hands-on support as needed.
  • Conduct simulations and analyses (e.g., CFD, FEA, FMEA) to validate product performance and reliability.
  • Design and work with fabrication partners to ensure clean internal flow paths to prevent debris and corrosion in liquid cooling systems.
  • Collaborate across design and operations teams to optimize manufacturability and meet internal/industry/customer standards such as ASME BPVC.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience required.
  • Knowledge of selection of fluid distribution components, electrical schematics, heat transfer. Refrigeration or material compatibility experience is a plus.
  • Experience in design and failure analysis tools such as DFMEA, DFM, etc.
  • The ability to design components and assemblies using 3D CAD systems (i.e. SolidWorks).
  • Knowledge in ASME BPVC design and applications, as well as AWS and ISO standards. ASME Section IX or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Up to 10% domestic travel required.

Pay Transparency
 
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
Compensation Range:

$76,000.00 - $141,100.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
