Supply Chain Engineer

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Engineer is responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and enabling the manufacture of Array products. This role operates in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with Product Development Teams and suppliers to support new product development, implement improvements, and ensure smooth transitions to full-scale production. The Supply Chain Engineer must understand product technical details, assess designs for cost and manufacturability, and influence supplier performance on pricing, output, and lead times.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Source and qualify suppliers for new products; manage vendor onboarding and part setup in SAP.
  • Support engineering with prototype procurement and testing requirements.
  • Manage RFQs, clarify bids, and prepare bid comparisons.
  • Coordinate supplier, engineering, and quality communications to ensure manufacturability.
  • Oversee tooling and qualification of new parts with suppliers.
  • Collaborate on field remediation and implement efficient solutions.
  • Manage engineering changes, pricing updates, and part qualification.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in product development and sourcing.
  • Maintain updated procedures for supply chain requirements.
  • Partner with Supply Quality Engineers to ensure PPAP execution, supplier readiness, and product compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing or production.
  • Strong time management, scheduling, and supplier relations skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and scheduling tools.
  • Experience in RFQ processes and cost analysis for pricing negotiations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years in process engineering or supply chain within manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication and material composition.
  • Experience with SAP and MS Project.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in planning, organizing, and communicating to meet project goals.
  • Competence in preparing reports and professional documentation.
