Position:                                          Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Job Duties:

1. Develop, maintain, and deliver cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the needs and objectives of client companies.
2. Develop improvements and upgrades, design additional applications, and configure more efficient components.
3. Create technical and functional designs and specifications and ensure that software designs and components meet business requirements.
4. Perform updates, repairs, or enhancements of existing cloud infrastructure to ensure quality and performance or adapt to new requirements.
5. Implement Infrastructure-as-Code environment automation and develop automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
6. Perform workload migrations from on-premises software or other cloud or cloud-hybrid software to the Google Cloud Platform for client companies.
7. Position is based out of Chandler, AZ HQ office but telecommuting is permitted on case by case basis.

Job Requirements:        

Education Requirements:

• Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related.

Experience Requirements:

• 24 months of experience in job offered, Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, Network Engineer, Network Security Engineer V, or closely related.

Special skills requirements:

1. Experience in the following skills: networking, VPNs, compute infrastructure, virtualized environments, systems monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
2. Experience migrating complex, multi-tiered workloads from on-prem to the cloud, including provisioning the target infrastructure and executing cutover plans that minimize system downtime.
3. Technical experience in network systems security.
4. Experience delivering immutable infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt and Packer.
5. Experience delivering continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines, utilizing techniques like blue/green and canary deployments, with tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, TravisCI, and Spinnaker.
6. Experience working with containerization technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, etc)
7. Proven experience and understanding of architecture principles across infrastructure platforms, security, data, integration, and application layers.
8. Experience being an administrator on a variety of Linux distributions.
9. Experience with information security practices and procedures
