JOB SUMMARY
Gummi World Manufacturing is seeking dedicated Sanitation Team Members to ensure our production facility meets the highest cleanliness and safety standards. This role is critical in maintaining a sanitary environment for food-grade production, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, tools, and facility surfaces.
•Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and sanitation schedules to ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and other regulatory standards.
•Safely handle and apply cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
•Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, windows, and common areas.
•Assist in waste disposal and recycling efforts to ensure proper handling of production waste.
•Conduct inspections to verify sanitation effectiveness and report any deficiencies
•Work closely with production staff to ensure minimal downtime during cleaning operations.
•Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
•Document cleaning and sanitation activities accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
•High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
•Experience in food manufacturing sanitation is a plus but not required.
•Knowledge of sanitation chemicals, equipment, and procedures is beneficial.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
•Exposure to cleaning chemicals and wet conditions.
•Requires lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for long periods.
•Cold or warm environments depending on facility conditions.
