NPD Design Engineer

Location: Chandler, AZ (Onsite)

Responsibilities:

The NPD Design Engineer will serve as a responsible engineer across multiple new product development programs, owning technical execution from concept through qualification and production support.

- Own and manage multiple concurrent engineering programs within a fast-paced NPD environment
- Develop and execute engineering plans aligned to customer requirements and program timelines
- Support customer meetings and interpret customer specifications and develop compliance matrices
- Perform design analysis including structural, reliability, and statistical evaluation as well as present technical information including PDR’s and CDR’s
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and technical data packages
- Support prototype/pathfinder development with hands-on troubleshooting
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, test, quality, and program management teams
- Support qualification testing, failure analysis, and production launch activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement, cost reduction, and design for manufacturability
- Design with automation and scalability in mind
 

Qualifications:

- Working knowledge of DOE, FMEA, and DFMA (required)
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software (required)
- Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation) strongly preferred
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and technical requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including statistical analysis
- GD&T knowledge preferred
- Aerospace, defense, or related industry experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience required; 5+ years preferred
