Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Chandler, AZ 85286-6610Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 Salary/yearTravel Percentage: Road WarriorScheduler  Location: Pheonix, AZ or Charlotte, NC  Department: Estimating  Reports To: Director of Estimating  Position Summary  Sure Steel is seeking a full-time Scheduler to support our Structural Steel and Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) operations. This position plays a critical role in both the preconstruction and operations phases of a project by analyzing General Contractor schedules, identifying scheduling risks, and developing detailed erection schedules for steel and PEMB scopes of work.  The Scheduler will work closely with Estimating, Project Management, Operations, Superintendents, and Executive Leadership to ensure Sure Steel's schedules are realistic, resource-loaded, and aligned with project requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong scheduling experience in the construction industry, excellent analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of structural steel erection sequencing and project execution.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities  Preconstruction & Bid Support  Review General Contractor baseline schedules during the bidding process.  Analyze project milestones, constraints, access requirements, and critical path activities.  Identify schedule risks, logic concerns, unrealistic durations, or sequencing issues that may impact Sure Steel's scope.  Develop preliminary structural steel and PEMB erection schedules for inclusion in bid proposals.  Assist estimating teams with schedule evaluations and duration assumptions.  Provide schedule-driven manpower forecasts and production planning recommendations.  Participate in bid review meetings and schedule strategy discussions.      Project Execution Support  Develop detailed erection schedules for structural steel and PEMB scopes upon project award.  Create manpower-loading projections based on production assumptions and project durations.  Evaluate schedule updates received from General Contractors and identify impacts to Sure Steel's work as required.  Assist project teams in developing recovery plans and acceleration strategies when required.  Analyze delays, disruptions, and schedule changes and communicate impacts to management.  Support project managers with schedule narratives, delay notices, and schedule-related correspondence.  Track critical milestones, material deliveries, fabrication durations, site readiness, and erection progress.  Work with superintendents and field leadership to verify production assumptions and validate schedule updates as required.  Reporting & Analysis  Generate schedule status reports and milestone tracking dashboards.  Perform critical path analysis and identify schedule-driven risks.  Monitor labor productivity assumptions and compare actual performance against planned production rates.  Provide executive-level schedule summaries and recommendations.  Maintain scheduling templates, standards, and best practices.  QualificationsQualifications  Required  3+ years of construction scheduling experience.  Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project.  Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.  Experience reviewing and analyzing construction schedules.  Ability to build construction schedules from conceptual information.  Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.  Preferred  Experience with structural steel, PEMB, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, data center, or commercial construction projects.  Familiarity with steel fabrication and erection sequencing.  Familiarity with scheduling software such as:  Primavera P6  Oracle Primavera Cloud  ASTA Powerproject  Smartsheet  Power BI  Synchro  Knowledge of critical path method (CPM) scheduling.  Understanding of construction productivity, manpower loading, and resource planning.  Knowledge and Skills  The successful candidate will demonstrate:  Understanding of structural steel erection activities, including foundations, anchor rods, steel erection, metal decking, PEMB framing, roof panels, wall panels, and trim.  Ability to forecast manpower requirements and sequencing strategies.  Strong attention to detail and schedule logic development.  Ability to identify opportunities for schedule optimization and risk mitigation.  Ability to communicate schedule impacts clearly to project teams and executive leadership.  Physical Requirements  Ability to sit for extended periods while working on computer-based scheduling activities.  Ability to travel periodically to project sites, fabrication facilities, and company offices as required.  Ability to participate in field schedule reviews and site logistics meetings.  Why Sure Steel  Sure Steel delivers some of the nation's most complex structural steel and PEMB projects, including mission-critical facilities, data centers, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, and large-scale commercial developments.
