Staff Pharmacist

STAFF PHARMACIST

The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for safely and accurately dispensing prescribed medications, verifying sterile and non-sterile compounded preparations, and upholding pharmacy safety, compliance, and quality standards, working in collaboration with pharmacy technicians and compounding operations staff, and reports to the Pharmacist-in-Charge.

• Requires an active Arizona pharmacist license in good standing with the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy

Duties and Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately dispenses drugs as prescribed

• Accountable for safety and risk management in the pharmacy, including enforcement of policies and procedures to ensure the safety of our patients and staff

• Ensures all equipment is in good working order and up to date per standard regulations

• Ensures compliance with written policies and procedures

• Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations

• Promotes a culture of continuous improvement

• Ensures all licensing requirements are up to date per state and federal requirements

• Responsible for proper chemical, expired drug, and hazardous waste storage and disposal in a compliant manner

Job Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States

• Licensed with the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy (additional state licenses preferred)

• 2+ years of compounding experience

• Willingness to undergo a background check

• Full-time, hourly position

Compensation

• $60.00 – $63.00 per hour, based on experience and capabilities

• Eligible for additional compensation through the quarterly bonus program

Schedule

• Monday – Friday, day shift, with 5-day or 4-day work week options

• No nights or weekends
