Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate federal and state income tax returns for individual clients
- Interview clients to gather necessary tax information, documents, and forms
- Identify eligible tax credits and deductions to maximize client refunds
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and Jackson Hewitt quality standards
- Maintain client confidentiality and securely handle sensitive financial data
- Deliver outstanding customer service and build lasting client relationships
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy goals during peak tax season
Requirements:
- Prior tax preparation experience preferred, but training will be available
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn tax preparation software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule during the January–April tax season
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must successfully complete required IRS and/or company tax training certifications
